Join Child Bereavement UK’s team for the most iconic running event in the UK.
The Virgin London Marathon is one of life’s greatest achievements and an unforgettable experience. Thousands of people line the streets to cheer you on while you pass a number of famous London landmarks, making it an atmosphere like no other!
You can be part of it running for Child Bereavement UK, and we would love for you to join our team.
If you have already secured your own place independently of the charity and would you like to be part of the team, please fill in the Own Place Application Form and send back to us.
This means you have been successful in gaining a ballot place through the London Marathon organisers – you would have received a confirmation email and running number.
There is no minimum sponsorship when you get your own place, but everything you raise will help us to continue supporting families and children, and training professionals.
Join us to rebuild lives together.

What other runners have said:
‘Thanks for letting me be part of your team, your support and lovely emails were great and informative. I always enjoyed receiving them’ Karen Butler
‘Everyone made us feel so welcome, the food was delicious & the massage just wonderful. It was a lovely way to finish a fantastic day’ Karen Woollvin
“When your baby dies when she’s never even lived, you don’t have any memories, you have nothing. Training, fundraising and actually doing the marathon has given us a memory bank. I now just close my eyes and see all those smiling faces and they’re our Chloe memories now.’ Paula & Martin
‘The whole thing was so well organised, from the regular email support in the run up to the race, to the cheering at 17 and 21 miles, to being pulled out from the crowd when I finished, to being escorted to the reception and finally the LOVELY massage from Lily, everything was just wonderful!’ Christine Taylor
