Supporting pupils following a sudden and traumatic deathNovember 20, 2017 9:30 am 20/11/2017
9:30 am - 2:00 pm
In the wake of the recent atrocity in Manchester, we are providing this session for school staff to support them in their interactions with pupils and parents following these tragic events.
We are aware of the important role familiar trusted adults play in supporting bereaved children, and that children spend a huge proportion of their time within school environment. Many parents will also seek advice from school staff in helping their children make sense of what has happened.
Details of the day
We will cover topics including managing sudden and traumatic loss and grief within the school community which will be immediately followed by one-to-one consultation to address individual concerns with Child Bereavement UK practitioners.
All schools attending will also have access to our online learning package so the training can be cascaded to all delegates thanks to generous funding from a charitable trust.
