Collection Tin Co-ordinator
Terms: Volunteer
Based: Head Office in Saunderton
Hours: approx. 4 hours per month, flexible

Closing Date: 31st December

Job Description:

  • To increase the number of Child Bereavement UK collection boxes within the local community
  • To help grow the number of fundraisers and supporters within the local area
  • To ultimately increase fundraising income
  • To ensure our supporters feel valued and engaged with Child Bereavement UK


  • Establishing relationships with venue owners and finding new locations for CBUK collection tins
  • Ensure collection tins are clean, secure and branded
  • Update the Community Fundraising Team with any changes or updates for existing or new tin sites
  • Presenting thank you certificates to venues
  • Using established relationships with venues to also promote fundraising campaigns and events organised by CBUK

Skills Required:

  • Good organisational skills
  • Good knowledge of the local area
  • Comfortable with cash handling
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiasm for fundraising
  • Access to a vehicle or good public transport

Training and Support:

  • Full induction, training and guidance on all aspects of your role
  • All appropriate materials to support your role
  • Your own collector’s authorisation letter
  • Continuous support and advice from the Community Fundraising Team


  • Developing your knowledge and skills in fundraising, building confidence and making connections therefore enhancing your CV
  • Having fun, meeting new people, sharing your enthusiasm and doing something new
  • Supporting a local cause and really making a difference to those affected by child bereavement
  • Being part of the CBUK fundraising team; option to visit the offices, take part in fundraising and social events
  • Representing CBUK at the heart of your local community
  • Travel expenses will be covered
