Any donations made during this time through theBigGive.org.uk will be generously matched by The Dulverton Trust and will help young people aged 11-25 years old living in Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes, East London, Cumbria, Cheshire & Glasgow.

Lauren was 15 years old when her stepdad, Jez, died in April 2014. She received one to one support from Jackie, one of the charity’s Bereavement Support Practitioners and said:

“It was so easy to open up to Jackie. I knew I could say anything about anyone and it wouldn’t go any further. I could say what I wanted, what I needed.

“I’m much happier now. I used to be very shy, but now I’m the real me. It’s only now, having received support that I know Jez’s death wasn’t my fault and that I didn’t cause it. Child Bereavement UK helped me to understand that I had no control over it and that it was ok to let go of the guilt.”
